Any morning show listeners here...? I enjoy ole Tommy B most of the time and Terry is a hoot, but I have noticed that all of the humorous or "odd" news stories from abroad that they report have already been in the GD forum for two days before they make it to the air. Might have to drop em a line and clue em in on America's real source for news. |

I refuse to listen to the KQRS Morning Show. I find Tom Barnard to be one of the most arrogant, ignorant, self-absorbed, megalomaniacal, ill-researched, supercilious non-thinkers out there on the radio right now. Sorry, the opinions of that blowhard do NOT constitute the absolute and incontrovertible truth at all times, as he supposes on a daily basis. Terry seems to have been in the sauce a little too much over the years and this has had a detrimental affect on her cognitive and intellectual capabilities. The rest of the people on that show never have too much to contribute to it except for laughs and blasphemous curses. My disdain for that radio program is much. I used to listen to it every day, but grew sick of it in a hurry. |
Em are sum big words...gonna hafta look a few of em up..  Ole Tom does get a little high in his chair at times, and at times I do have to just change the channel when they get to wacked. That and as soon as the damn football picks start. Unfortunately there's not much else for morning radio. I can't stand the super happy glad to have you here every damn morning shows, with the seven o'clock party chicken, etc. Drives me nutz. |

man, i hate the football picks with a passion, and the 93X halfass morning shows sports talk... thats 90% of their show and it drives me nuts. tom and the gang have made me laugh til my guts hurt more times than i can count... but he is riding on quite a high horse. his opinions on movies and music are whack- so many funny / great movies out there that he totally bashes, and if you like that movie, youre an idiot. |

The KQ morning show has it's facts wrong quite a bit. I get really tired of the weiner humor. The show is entertaining though. I like to listen to Dan Conery on 100.3 FM. For afternoon talk I love to listen to Michael Medved on AM 1280 from 2 to 5. He is the best debater I have ever listened to and smokes almost everybody he has on his show. |

Second Banana #1: (laughs) Jesus Christ! Second Banana #2: hey, I visited this one porno website last week... TD: Honest to God, oh, that celebrity is a standup guy, he's a great guy (gushes uncontrollably for another minute before interrupted) TT: duh, I heard that this guy did this one thing that I don't remember The Nasel Jewish Man: I hate the whole world and am a totally depressed suicidal maniac TB: Honest to God, honest to God, scumbag, honest to God. Wait, since when do I believe in God? I'm an athiest, agnostic, or deist, depending on what day it is. Sometimes, I can't make up my mind theologically, but I'm definately not a Roman Catholic anymore. TT: Oh, Catholics aren't that bad TNJM: I hate Catholics because I hate the world. The show makes me laugh more than other shows in the morning (of course all the other morning shows I've ever listened to get me zero laughs, so whatever). Because of this I will amuse myself with the podcast of it when I'm bored. Plus its a nice way to keep up on the news from MN without submitting to reading the RedStar's online edition. x156 |

I've listened to the current incarnation of the KQ morning show almost since the beginning. It's definitely gone through cycles over the years. Right now I'd say they're on the down part of the cycle, but the show is better than it has been in the past while. Tom is a little full of himself. I guess that happens when you are the lead for the most successful broadcast show (TV and Radio) for 15 years running in this area, and the most successful morning show nationwide period. If you can look through some of the stupid shit that happens on the show in the name of entertainment you'll appreciate that much of the news and commentary on that show is shit that the main stream media is either afraid to say or decides to bury on page 24D. It is a voice of the more conservative right as opposed to all the other decidedly left leaning shows. Of course, I don't expect everyone to like it. That's the great thing about radio. You can change the station. |

Of course this is comming right after their VEGAS trip, which is a good week to tune to a differenct station, IMO. I enjoy the morning show. Is it stupid humor most of the time?, sure! But it's like going to see a "Dumb and Dumber" or an "Austin Powers" movie, you know it's going to be stupid, but you go anyway. I just take the show for what it's worth, ENTERTAINMENT. If I wanted EDUCATIONAL, or NEWS I'd go somewhere else. But then my commute is only 2 minutes everyday, so I don't get to listen much anymore. For what it's worth, Tom B. is a PRO GUN guy, and a Carry Permit Holder. He is openly pro gun on the radio, which is not a common thing these days. |
Just what kind of ratings is this show pulling in and how do they compare to the ratings of other prominent local radio and television broadcasts? Sure, it may be a voice of the more conservative Right, but couldn't they be a bit less crass and tasteless about it? It makes people who think to the Right sound like a bunch of potty-mouthed, oversexed philistines. |

Before I got XM, I listened to the 93X Halfassed morning show... Yeah, it is a bit ..full of sport talk. However, I gotta say..the on-air chemistry between Weasel, Nick and Josh is really good. There were times where I've almost had to pull over, due to how they all interacted...it really was funny. The right comments at the right time, etc. And, with Randy Shaver (spelling? I've never seen his newscasts; I generally don't watch network TV)...you can REALLY tell how well they all work together when they have on their sub DJ, for when they go on breaks. The way they all rib each other is hysterical. But, since I got XM...I'm usually listening to either O&A, or one of the comedy channels on my hour-long drive in in the morning  And yes..I check up on the 93x morning show a couple times a week, just to see  And, I gotta say...they do have some kick-ass phone in guests. Howie Mandel? Hysterical show. |
Kind of a misleading bunch of stats though. That's for the entire day, not just the morning drivetime. Unless I'm grossly misforgetting, I believe that the KQ morning show is in the high 20's consistently, and has been as high as 32. That's 20some percent of every radio that's on tuned to 92.5. That is highest in the country for any morning show if I'm remembering the stats right. (And it was independent, but I'll be damned if I remember where I got those). |
| I LOVE the KQ morning show. I could not start my day without it. But am I the only one who thinks that Phillip Weis is an idiot? The guy contributes nothing to the show except stupid remarks and dumb-ass questions. I shake my head every time he speaks. They need to get rid of him and bring in someone who has half a brain. Stretch, on the other hand, is a riot. He has that quick, rapier whit that I wish I had. IMO, he makes up half the show. Too bad he isn't there every day. |

I can't stand ANY morning shows on the Radio!!! I just keep flipping through stations every morning or put in a tape/cd to listen to something every morning because there's almost NOTHING worthwhile in Morning Shows anymore. So I really just wish that EVERYONE in MN who is on a Morning Talk Show would just STFU... & Play some MUSIC

I love Mike Evans even though he's wrong quite a bit. I used to listen to it when I lived in NYC. Got a little homsick out there and Aloha Friday helped a little. Now that I'm home I get to listen to it again. Tom carries a Bersa .380, like me! You'd think he'd be able to conceal a .454 under all that fat! |
