| i leave CA for good at 1500 on friday. i should be to Duluth on sunday afternoon. about a week to get settled , then the AR and AK are coming out to play. |
|
you'll want to hit the george contance range in superior. you can get directions at superior shooters supply. it's about 10min out of town.. free targets, hearing protection, various distances, free spotting scopes...and an old crabby dude named will you is the RO. there are a few gravel pits to go blast at in the area as well. if you need directions email me at [email protected] and i'll mail you some. |

well i made it! i've been back almost two weeks. the rain has been great! believe it or not that is one of the things that i missed while living in CA (rarely rained where i lived). I picked up my AK from my parents house and installed an RSA trigger. i hope to get out tomorrow and shoot if it stops raining. i don't have the internet going yet, sucks cause no AR15.com. well, gotta get off the borrowed computer. talk to you guys soon. dave |
akajimmy is right... Sign up for Sully's Handguns I course, drive down to Princeton, MN, and take the class that will teach you more than any other CCW classes. Then go practice while waiting for your CCW paperwork to be processed. |

if you don't want to drive down to the cities for a ccw class i can recommend a local one. i just took mine last month. i do plan on taking sullys class sometime as well. the local one includes a 1yr membership to island lk range. btw, you just missed a shoot in minong wi this weekend. only 40+ miles south. i've got pics from it in the wi hometown forum. |
| It is worth the drive to take Sully's class. I learned alot in that afternoon. AND I go a lot of rangetime in at the same time. My wife took the class that day with me. She basically learned to shoot that day. By the end of the class she got the same score I did (96%). |
I was actually pretty proud of her. |
