I posted earlier about shops with M1As in stock; I looked at a couple but decided I should/would look at AR-10s and FALs also. None of the shops I have visited to look at M1As have had either of these rifles in stock, so I guess I'm down to special ordering it from one of the dealers or ordering via the internet. 1) Any recommendations for Armalite/Eagle Arms/DPMS for a quality AR-10? Any metro shops with one in stock? 2) I know next to nothing about FALs - where is a good place to learn more about them? Thanks! |

You can get a new Armalite AR-10 at The Frontiersman in St. Louis Park off of 394 and Louisiana Ave. Check out FAC in Fridley off of Rancher's Road for FALs. FALs are basically cheaper and mags are dirt cheap compared to AR10 mags. I have a FAL with a Hesse receiver and it shoots very well. Cost: less than $400. |

I have shot the Armalite and the DPMS .308's Both are great now it is just a matter of what you want. As far as AR's go I have both Armalite and DPMS so the choice would be entirly yours. I use this factor I live in Minnesota. I work In a factory in Minnesota. DPMS is in Minnesota, lets keep the money here. |
