[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Upper Action Block

I am having issue swapping out a barrel on an older (10+ years) Olympic arms .40 S&W upper. I think I read that they used lock tight on these so my home made block is just not cutting it.
Is there anyone who will rent/loan me there upper block for the weekend in NKY (Florence) area?

I have heat, torque wrench and an armors tool but the barrel nut will not budge and the whole upper starts to spin in my contraption...

Did you remove the gas tube?

(kidding, I know the pistol caliber Oly uppers don't have a gas tube)

If you lived near Oak Grove, I'd say bring it by our shop and we could take a crack at it. South Western KY is a little far for that though.

Thanks for the offer, of course I am way up here in the Florence area...I might try the guys over at Gunmeister to see if Brad can help but really wanted to DIY this bugger....
