Does anyone have any hogs on their land that they would let me and a buddy hunt? We are hearing that there is a crap load of hogs in KY! And we are wanting to hunt hogs and not leave the state!

There is supposed to be a sizable population in the Hopkins/Muhlenburg County area up around the old strip mines. I figure in 10 years they'll be everywhere in Western Kentucky.

Someone had the great idea to release a few near us (Greenup Co) a few years ago. Quickly there were reports of piglets with a momma. Thankfully I think the neighbors got them all before they really took off.

I was always looking for them when I was out on our property and never saw one. I saw where they had been but never saw one during deer season, turkey season, or just screwing around. I am of the impression you should not expect to just step into the woods and find one unless there is a huge population (even at night).

I've got a small farm in North Christian County near the Muhlenburg County line and I jumped several small hogs going to my tree stand back in the fall. We were seeing sign of hogs almost everytime we went to the farm until we quit putting out corn.

I and my uncle are open to travel the state.       We are both exeperienced hunters.

Years ago, 20 to 30 years ago, there some small numbers in Whitly county.   I seriously doubt wild hogs will ever take off in KY.   They just get killed off very quickly.

I can see it now... The ARFCOM pig search party. 50 feet between each shooter, going through one county at a time. Seven million rounds fired though not one singly piggy was spotted.
