I have only heard this mentioned in one place so far but it is from pretty reliable information.  Seems they are struggling financially from what I am told.
May be willing to negotiate on buying a gun knowing this. I figured they were doing gangbuster type of business as every time I go in there they are busy.  However, most gun store owners I have talked to (about 6) say that business is waaaaay down. Hard to pay big rent, have 20 employees working, and have so many guns if you aren't able to sell lots and lots of merchandise.  I am not sure they are affiliated with the internet business.

Hate to hear this, but when I have been in there they seem to have way to many people working.  I still want to try out the range.  Super nice facility.

Friend and I went there yesterday. We bought a handgun each and then spent an hour shooting. 30 min. on the paper range and 30min. on the reactive targets. The place was packed and every sales person was waiting on someone. Shooting the reactive targets was outstanding, had a blast. Hope they stay in business, this is a great place to shoot a few times a year. You have plates that pop up in random order ( several programs to chose from) and distances. It really test your ability to react and shoot.

The Gun Warehouse & Range/Bud's Police Supply is doing VERY well.  No worries.

I can see it.

I visited there yesterday.

First thing to know there is a difference from this store front and the website, contray to what the guy on the phone told me Friday afternoon, leading me to believe that everthing in stock on the website is instock or nearly so on the floor..

Also realize that this store only takes up a very small portion of the "warehouse" that they are in and the gun store itself is not a warehouse or warehouse type setup or anything that the name warehouse in the name of the store brings to mind.

If you are out of state and wanting to get a long gun, buy it online and have them hold it for you, if they even will do that.  There website says they do but I can't seem to get it to work right.

They don't have near the selection of long guns in store as they do on the website (no where near it) and they didn't seem to willing to get you a gun from the website stock/or general stock in back if you were in store and hadn't pre-ordered.

They are not willing to get you a new gun from the back, they expect you to buy the displays at full cost and save the unopened guns for the internet business.  I was told as much. ANd they will not negotiate.

They do seem to have a vast selection of handguns.

After saying that I did purchase several long guns from them, I will however, never go back to this place, it is just to far for me for what is offered and the whole display gun new gun deal is very aggrivating to me.. And had I known before I went what I know now I would not have went.

I could hardly tell employees from customers.  They did have name tags but I could hardly see them. Some had on shirts for the store, some did not that is the bigger issue I think.

I also think there floor layout could use some work.

The parking lot was nicely sealed recently, the area the store is in what seems to be an ok part of town at least in daytime.  People where generally friendly.

Not trying to be a hater here, just giving people some heads up in what to expect the way I see it. They have done a better job than I probably could have done.

I bought from them before and will again.  Close enough for me to save money.  Always been treated right.  I don't care what there uniforms or layout looks like. It's a nice gun store with a nice gun range.

A lot of thir inventory online comes from Sports South in Louisiana.  If it doesn't say "In LEx"  It probably ain't there.

If it were close to me I would probably return as well.  I really didn't mind uni's either but there was an older gentleman that was waiting around to talk with someone for about 20 minutes as employees walked right by him and he never knew, he just left.

Layout does matter for a good business to run smoothly.

We bought two handguns and one sales person told the guy waiting on us to get new guns from the back, not to sell us the display model.

I haven't bought anything there but I have used their range and really like it.
I went looking for a magazine for a pistol in there the other day and they big young guy looked in a couple of drawers for me and then looked it up and said I could order an aftermarket from them online for 15 dollars and they would have it shipped there or could send to my house.  I went to Evans and found the name brand magazine (beretta) for 22 dollars.

I never knew they didn't negotiate on price, thats a deal killer with their prices especially given that I know their "Secret Code" for what they paid for a gun, especially a used gun. Its written on the tag, most places use one, its not rocket science. A few members here wrote me asking for it and I gave it to them, one of them was a buds employee and they stopped using it at shows after that. They still use it in the stores, if you want to know it, just PM me.

I don't think their prices are that great in the store either. I have found cheaper just looking around or negotiating a little. Right now, many stores and people are happy to be selling anything.  I recently picked up some SKS rifles for less than 160 and a Remington 870 express for 110. Negotiate a little.

I'm not sure how that works? I bought a gun online from them because they stated it wasn't available at the Lexington store but I told them to ship the gun to the store anyway and I would pick it up there. I ordered the gun around 5-6pm on a Tuesday night and the very next morning I got an e-mail form them around 9am telling my my gun was ready for pickup! Not sure what really happened there but it clearly was not shipped in from any other place.
