My family is from Harlan and I sometimes work out of there. A couple years ago I developed the theory that life began in Harlan. Love to hear that. Little known fact: Harlan was once famous for being the murder capital of America per capita. This was during the times when coal was just starting to be mined there and continued through the violence that erupted during the unionizing of the workers. |

I will plan for next sunday. so we both should be more free for that day anyway |

Hazard here. Let's get a group together and shoot. there has been many offers but as usual when it comes time no one shows or answers back. I offer up a shoot almost every sunday OK....how do I meet up with you? Where do you shoot? What time? Send me a message with instructions. Name a time to meet at Huddle House or someplace before the shoot. |

Im for this, Sundays I always attend morning and afternoon Church, so between around 12-530 I am free, plenty of time to shoot a little. I am in church until noon as well. He shoots 20 miles east of Pikeville so it would be at least 1:30 before we could get there from Hazard. If anyone shoots around Hazard on one of the strip mines on Saturdays, that would work as well, assuming you want company. |

Man until they start building on the property, we have been using the land over on 80 past Walmart that they just leveled off.
Not the big spot on the right, but a little further on the left that has the wrap around mountain. You can shoot up to around 1000yards there I would imagine, and anyone has yet to get on to us about it. I am friends with the family who owns it, or use to own it so I say as long as we take care of it, dont trash it and leave stuff lying around, its cool. I have a home-made ar500 target I keep with me at all times, plug gallons of water that we could set out at different distances. |
