my wife and i are going to be moving to south central kentucky in a few years...allen county..we bought a 5 acre piece of land on the barren river..my question..should i have the house built so its generator ready?and how come you never see ant stucco covered homes there..is it a weather thing?..thanks to all

the stucco thing is an area thing, we just dont have that in this area. I would recommend having your house built with a generator back up. it is easier and cheaper in the long run to do it now then to upgrade later. We do get some Ice storms here from time to time, which means you could be without power for a few days.

like toetags said...  not much stucco in the commonwealth.  i would recommend going with a cabin or wood siding since your on the river.  and YES have the house built with a back up generator prewired.  we do get quite a bit of ice.  are you on the river or lake?
