I was putting a lower together last night and had a two problems. 1st problem , roll pin wouldn't go into trigger guard( way too tight) and second the pistol grip's slot was too narrow in the front. All of this was a DPMS lower parts kit. Where around Lexington can I get a different brand trigger guard and anyone got a trick for making the pistol grip slot open up? (somehow heated up and expanding?)

Guns inc in richmond should still have the RRA winter trigger guards in stock.  Easiest thing to do is put a different, better pistol grip on the gun.  I like the hogue ones myself or the magpul.  There is always the magpul MIAD Full which has a pistol grip with an insert that has the trigger guard attached so no rear pin for the trigger guard needed.

Sometimes either Classic Firearms or Antique and modern can hook you up with some AR parts (if you call and ask nicely).

As for the pistol grip, I would almost elect to shave a little off the plastic grip insert itself unless its going to have to be alot of plastic cut away.  (Simple rule, cut on the cheaper part, $5 grip, not $150 lower)
