I was putting a lower together last night and had a two problems. 1st problem , roll pin wouldn't go into trigger guard( way too tight) and second the pistol grip's slot was too narrow in the front. All of this was a DPMS lower parts kit. Where around Lexington can I get a different brand trigger guard and anyone got a trick for making the pistol grip slot open up? (somehow heated up and expanding?)

| Guns inc in richmond should still have the RRA winter trigger guards in stock. Easiest thing to do is put a different, better pistol grip on the gun. I like the hogue ones myself or the magpul. There is always the magpul MIAD Full which has a pistol grip with an insert that has the trigger guard attached so no rear pin for the trigger guard needed. |

Sometimes either Classic Firearms or Antique and modern can hook you up with some AR parts (if you call and ask nicely).
As for the pistol grip, I would almost elect to shave a little off the plastic grip insert itself unless its going to have to be alot of plastic cut away. (Simple rule, cut on the cheaper part, $5 grip, not $150 lower) |
