I'm a fairly experienced builder but am dealing with something new, not sure how to handle: Building a yugo M-92 with an underfolder stock on the appropriate NDS receiver. For the rear trunion, how do I mash the lower-forward rivets? My bolt-cutter tool won't reach them. Tried a c-clamp but the pivoting head on the c-clamp deformed and started to rip before the rivet compressed. Any suggestions / advice / loaner tools that will accomplish this? EDIT: problem solved, Danny's Gun Repair will do those 2 rivets for me on Monday! |

Check out my Yugo when you go up there JC. We are just waiting on the stock bolt thingy!! I think the wood looks great. My rivets looked real good on mine too and I had him Duracoat it HK Black and polish the Charging handle. I should have it in a week or so. |

Well, that didn't work. They don't do their AK-work in-house there, they farm it out (even though I specifically asked this on Friday...) And since it's an SBR, I can't leave it with them. Kstarr, your AK looks awesome! Can't wait to see it with the stock on. I'll work on grinding down my bolt-cutter tool tonight to make it fit. Edit: this worked. See thread in AK build-it-yourself forum. |
