I would say lock the gun in a vice in a safe direction and hit the charging handle back with a mallet. That is what the gun smith will do if you can find one willing to work on a loaded gun.

so, did the bolt not go all the way forward, did you pull the trigger and it not fire ?

Got the shell out about an hour ago, ive had the gun layed to the side a couple months, figured by working on it myself I would just fuck it up further.
