I thought we had a knife thread of sorts.  It is totally possible my search-fu is weak.  It usually is.

My new EDC, a CR Sebenza 25 Knifeart Edition CF.  Excellent materials, perfect fit and finish and just the right size for the many times I can't carry a fixed blade.

That's a nice looking rig.  I carry one of two Kershaws, myself, the scallion is similar to yours.   I love the action and am never without them.

Serious question:  Why carry a knife that is not spring assisted?

Even though this is my first carry knife with thumb studs as opposed to a flipper, it is so smooth that deploying it is no issue.  I have never owned a spring assist knife.

Springs break,  I use to carry an assisted opening knife, but after braking a few I switched to benchmades with the axis lock

Why can't you carry a fixed blade?  I can hide one just about anywhere outside my body.  I don't do internal.

I like them because it's bulletproof technology. Less to break.  Nothing to open or fumble with.  And depending on blade length laws they're legal in most places.

I've been carrying a CRKT obake. It's cheap, found at Walmart and can take  a good edge.

I would much prefer to carry a fixed blade.  I have several.  There are many places during the work week that I go to that I cannot carry a knife.  It is easier to take a folder out of my pocket than keep taking a sheath on and off.  So it's convenience, nothing else.

Gotcha. I don't deal with alot of metal detectors and at work I'm surrounded by large knives.

I know, I know, "ooh no! A switchblade in CT!!" Well it makes my job much easier to have one handed operation and I have spoken to several cops about it. So long as I don't do anything illegal with it I feel confident I'm safe.

Ravencrest tactical RCT1 has been flawless for me and stood up to the obvious abuse I put it through. I'm getting a little play in the blade, but once it gets too loose for my liking I will send it in to be repaired.

Just curious because I would like to buy an auto knife but if I can't carry it on me theres no sence in buying one.

The two cops I talked to about it said they highly doubt a cop would arrest you if they just saw you with it, and I really only take it from home to work and back. I'm a machinist and I deal with huge coils of wire that are wrapped up. I have to lift them with one arm while I cut the straps free. I stay out of trouble so the odds of a cop even seeing the knife are astronomical. If I plan on going anywhere aside from work or home I usually will carry my kershaw blur. But I practically live at work and go straight home afterwards.

I work 4pm-4am 5 days a week so I'm not out in public much at all.

Jails are full of "highly doubt anyone would arrest me" people.  Be careful.

Will keep that in mind, maybe I will just leave it in my toolbox at work and carry my kershaw when I'm anywhere but work.
