I have a 590A1 that I would like to Form 1 and I would like to file the form under my trust.  The gun is currently in my name, can anyone tell me how to transfer it into the trust?

I would like to get this submitted next week if I can.

I think the biggest problem is that post 4/4/13 transfers need to be called in. And your trust obviously doesn't have a pistol permit. Did you have the trust and shotgun prior to 4/4/13?

It is not an AW so it can still be transferred.  I am the only one in the trust and I do have a pistol permit.

I assume filing the form 1 u want to Sbr the said weapon. Once u Sbr the weapon it becomes and assault weapon by CT law because it will be under 30 inches. I am assuming of course. Now when filing an Sbr form 1 with ATF they want an assault weapons certificate saying u registered it with the state. How can we register a non preban after the fact. I was thinking of doing this myself with a 10/22 but not sure it they would because they are now registering a non preban after the 4/4 deadline. I have had some weapons in my personal name registered switched to my trust but they were first registered under name. They did this cause ATF required it. I assume u never registered this gun because it's not an assault weapon. I would contact dierda at despp in middletown. She has helped me in the past. Good luck.

Not sure if 30 inches OAL is for shotguns, need SB to chime in.

It is currently a 20" barrel 590A1 that I wanted to SBS.  Ideally I would like to buy a 14" factory front end for it.

I have never heard of the 30" requirement, can anyone confirm that?

The 30" minimum length pertains to center fire rifles.

Got my answer.

I do not have to do anything with the state to put the shotgun into the trust, just submit the trust with my form 1.

You call the state? How did you find out?

So, you don't need proof of transfer, from your person, to the trust?
How is this different from a person to person transfer?

I'm glad if it's truly this easy, but wonder about the legitimacy.

I am not sure who else I could ask.
