There is No Tsunami Warning For Connecticut There is NO Tsunami Warning for Connecticut. A warning graphic ran during programming that has false information. Connecticut and all of New England is in no need to panic due to a Tsunami. We have beautiful weather in the forecast. AS PART OF A ROUTINE MONTHLY TEST ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE/NWS NATIONAL TSUNAMI WARNING CENTER IN PALMER ALASKA...THE NWS NEW YORK NY OFFICE SENT A TSUNAMI TEST WARNING MESSAGE OVER NOAA WEATHER RADIO ALL HAZARDS. THIS TRANSMISSION WAS SENT TO LOCAL EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEMS FOR POSSIBLE REDISTRIBUTION. THERE IS NO TSUNAMI THREAT AT THIS TIME. Now if there was a massive collapse of the La Palma island's Cumbre Vieja volcano cone into the Atlantic ocean then I could see the possibility of maybe a Tsunami reaching CT.
