So I got bagged taking a right on to my own street with out coming to a complete stop at the stop sign, according to a cop who was up on the hill watching down.  It was a four way stop sign with no one else around.

I pled not guilty in the hope of just paying a certain amount to a charity, and not having any insurance increases later.

I got a thing in the mail re my not guilty plea, with a rather large section to fill out if I had any other info to provide the prosecutor at the infractions bureau before he either nolles it or sends it to court.

My question is whether anyone here has received that form, and what did you put down?  Should I put anything down?  I am not going lie - might play dumb or what have you - I just don't want this on my record.  Any ideas?

Thanks!

That you are transoccupational and you identify as a Police Officer.  You thought you were heading to an important call-for-service. Add that you are disappointed in the insensitivity for transoccupational issues that has resulted in this ticket, and that it's not appropriate for the prosecutor to use their occupational privilege to suppress and intimidate transoccupational Police Officers.  Also that you'd like to report the Police Officer for a hate crime for not recognizing you as a fellow Police Officer.

Consult a lawyer re. how you should proceed. There are a number of them who are very good at negotiating nolles on that sort of thing. (Even if it does get referred to court, it is still possible to get it nolled or dismissed). If you would like, I could try and find out who my brother uses to get results that he would describe as very favorable.

I'd lie, write that you were racially profiled.

You say you don't want to lie but you want to get out of it somehow? Stop next time and you won't have to worry about it on your record.
