| Looking for an optic to place on my LMT MWS. I will be shooting 500 yards and in. Not looking to spend more than a $1,000 if possible. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks |

With that kind of budget, you have a lot of options. I really like Vortex for getting your money's worth. I would look at their Viper PST in maybe 6-24x50. Also LaRue mount should definitely be on your list, look at the LT104. Good luck and let us know how you do. |

Quoted: I have long range rifle and soft hands Quoted: Quoted: Turns out I have access to 700yds near me in a quarry. I'll have to look into that more though. And yes vortex, or Super Sniper series. I have long range rifle and soft hands I also have a long range rifld but my hands are not soft. I can bring Tbr with me though, his hands are as soft as a baby unicorns ass. |

Anyone try the Trijicon VCOG ? Looking at this to go on a SBR 300 BLK Trijicon is tough optics. But generally not the glass that you should get at the price by a long shot. OP, look into SSFA's super sniper house brand for value. Viper pst is pretty good too. I would also see what Sightron has to offer in their sII and SIII lines. Leupold is always a strong value too. |

I'm going to admit right here that I'm not an optics pro but I do know a good piece of glass when I see it. Typically you get what you pay for in optics. Wasn't I surprised, then, then this scope did so well:
http://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/leatherwood-hi-lux-art-m-1000-auto-ranging-riflescope/ I've got an 18" bull barrel LR308B with a Geissele trigger. I was looking for something that would quickly allow me to adjust for elevation. I had owned one of these scopes from the Viet Nam era and found it to be pretty neat on my M1a. Now I was looking for something that would allow me to adjust quickly from 200 yards to 800 yards with some accuracy. So, I bought one of these Leatherwood auto rangers and I've been very happy with the results. I've only cranked it from 100 to 300 yards because of range limitations but it performed so well at those shorter distances that I suspect it would do very well at longer ones. It's a bit heavy but it's a heavy rifle to begin with (as are most .308 ARs) but with a bi-pod, it's a tack driver with Porto surplus 762 x 51 ammo. Just a suggestion off the beaten path. Edited to add that it comes complete with a mount. Rome |

I also keep hearing the Primary Arms 1-6x is a steal for a decent scope in this style, 269.99 |

Rare but ior m1 is very bright and sturdy. No experience w Nikon m308 line, but looks good. Trijicon for the all around package. Bushnell 3200 mil/mil Is ok for a lower end click scope of you put some effort into getting the mil dots down. Agree on both. Wouldn't go cheaper than this. |

I have a Nikon M223 3-12x42 on an AR. Very good scope and priced really good. I just bought a Nikon P-rimfore for a suppressed Ruger 10/22 takedown. Very happy with that scope too.
Nikon should make good clear optics. They are one of the top lens manufacturers in the world. |
