By the time I get to Christmas my hands are filled with cuts and I have a perma kung fu grip.
Death of a thousand butcher twine cuts from tying filets, ribs, legs of lamb , crown roasts, boneless birds and so on. I like my work but I kinda hate holidays. My favorite meal on Christmas is Whisky. What type? Yes please. |

Usually, a roast with a dry rub and THIS phenomenal Jack Daniels and Coca~Cola ham recipe!
And a lot of beer, to celebrate the in-laws FINALLY going home after the past two months of their living in my house! |

I can't answer the poll because it's missing the most important christmas eve dish. Fried Baccala Baccala salad Baccala and pasta Cold Baccala in the morning Etc..etc.. YOU ARE DA MAN. Christmas Eve fish dinner is the best of the year. Made baccala with red sauce last night because my best friend had never tried it. He bought two beautiful pieces from Kensington Market and soaked them for 4 days to get the salt out. I made the sauce on Friday and we put it all together last night. Killed to nice loaves of bread with it too. Damn it is good. For Christmas this year I'm going to try a prime rib roast from Avon Prime Meats. |
