Any guns from these floating around out there?  I'd love to get my hands on one.

Who else knows anything about this company?

I know a guy who is all about them and can tell you just about anything. That is actually his website. He has a bunch of them and is selling a few I believe. I'll PM you.

Nope that Isn't me, but I should buy the place.  I'd make guns and brew beer in there out of the back.

Picked one up yesterday

Pics also in mega pic thread but posted here for archives

Open bolt subgun, made in Manchester CT at Dean Machine during the late 1970s and very early 1980s until the factory closed in '82, the DEMRO FX-7 "WASP"

Manufactured simultaneously in both .45 ACP and 9mm, it uses the old grease gun mags when chambered in .45 and Sten mags for 9mm.  The no-tools-needed caliber change takes less than 1 minute, swapping out the 16" barrel and adding/removing the magwell adapter.

PIX!

MFG stamp showing dual caliber

Shoulder thing that goes up

Open Bolt -- oh, noes~

Receiver and bolt

Receiver, bolt, trigger assembly, STEN magwell adapter (grease gun mags fit without the adapter)

Play it like a violin!

I'm sure someone will chime in if I'm wrong, but I believe it was marketed as a "bed side" gun. You could keep it in the closet instead of a safe and it would be locked by built in combo.

Yeah. it's a safety of sorts. Without the correct combination, the gun won't fire.

Otherwise it's a cool looking 45, looks like a tommy gun.

Thing is badass

So Andrapos is this something you'd shoot, or is it more of a rare collector piece?

I'm going to shoot the out of it, and if the machine gun ban gets thrown out then I'll convert it to full-auto in less than 2 minutes

There were 2 of those at the range last month when this one was there.

The combination lock was marketed towards law enforcement, since they were always leaving weapons on the hod of squad cars while going for coffee back in the '70s

Sounds awesome. I am hoping the ban gets tossed too. I have a Mac-10 I would convert.

Why not gold plate it!

Actually I am thinking of selling it. I bought it in 1986 and shot it maybe 3 times.
