There is a time for principal and there is a time for common sense and doing more for the greater good. Martha Dean figured that out and Joe should too. Unless he WANTS to play spoiler and will fell no guilt should his vote count be the difference in McKinney beating foley. BTW, I don't love Foley either but he is the best nominally gun-friendly Republican with a shot at displacing Malloy. |

I do support Martha Dean...as Attorney General, this is a role that's fitting for her and she would excel there. I thank her for stepping down, it's a class act move.
I'm hoping Joe Visconti and Lauretti will throw in the towel, they don't have the $$$ to primary and will siphon off the votes from Foley at Convention. I believe McKinney won't Primary, he's an "established R party man" but he will run again. Boughton? RINO! He's a loose cannon. He will primary and ruin the support Foley has from the Independent vote. If Malloy is re-elected this will be the reason. One noteworthy observation, Penny Bachiochi made History in Connecticut. From Penny's campaign website: "As of May 9, 2014, my campaign has exceeded the public funding requirement of $75,000, in contributions of $100 or less, from over 1200 individuals. I am the first Republican Lieutenant Governor candidate in Connecticut history to reach this demanding threshold. This accomplishment sets me apart not only from my current opponents, but shows my ability to attract Republicans from across the state." She reached the Public Financing threshold on her own and I believe she is the first of ANY candidates to do so thus far. If I had to guess, it will be Foley/ Bachiochi and that's a team Connecticut can support. We need to focus our support on our Representatives and Senators, many of these candidates are weak and they're facing a formidable opponent, the "Democratic Machine" and the entrenched support it has Statewide. Are there any Dem Legislators that support the 2A or Liberty as we know it? There are some RINO legislators that have to go too. Get busy and remind everyone you know to vote, you can do more and get involved, actively supporting your ideals and candidates at your local RTC or DTC. One night a month, at least go and listen, I have yet to see ONE SINGLE ARFCOM CTHTF member at my RTC!!! Get off your ass and join us afterward...I'll buy your first drink!
