Looking for some background info, good or/bad, on Connecticut Firearms Academy, also known as JFM
Associates.

I got a friend in Texas that is looking for some information / recommendation.  She needs some firearms training, but
is kinda nervous, and is looking for a 'good training place'.

I have googled extensively, but have found very little info on them.
They used to be in North Branford CT, but at some stage moved to
Huntsville, Texas. Their Facebook / website is no longer active.

ETA - IM ok if you dont want to public post here.

I worked part time in a gunshop in North Branford includeing pistol permit courses and belong to a private gun club and range right up the street in Guilford.

Not familiar with this outfit , sounds like it was a one man band.

Most of the training you see in CT is the NRA Basic Pistol Course which is needed for our pistol permit which is required for purchase and both open and concealed carry .

Lots of guys doing this course out of their house and many of them print business cards that indicate a bigger than actual outfit.

On the other hand just because I have not heard of this outfit doesn't mean they don't teach some decent courses
