Can we all all them what they are; SCM's. It's like saying clips or assault weapons, or calling your firearms weapons....they are not weapons unless they are being used against people to cause harm....they are firearms or guns lol. There is no such thing as an assault weapon...there are assault rifles, but I don't possess any. And I certainly don't have any clips, but I do have a lot of standard capacity mags.
Every time we call them LCMs, it's like we've given in and agree with the ignorant gun grabbers, the same with AW's. And saying clips is just for ignorant fools  . Don't get me wrong many of us have stripper clips, but that's not what I'm talking about here.
ETA: I'm just as guilty, I won't lie and say I've never said LCMs or AWs, but I won't do it again. |

If one wants to get real technical on terms, they are simply "magazines", and not even "standard capacity magazines". You are doing exactly what the gun grabbers are doing. Trying to redefine the language. Connecticut law, whether you or I agree with it or not, unconstitutional or not, now classifies certain "magazines" as "large capacity magazines". If you get arrested for having a banned magazine the charges, and the law used to charge you, will say you had a "large capacity magazine" no matter how much you try to argue that they were "SCM" or what ever term you or I want to use. <shrugs> |
