I'm a member here, NRA, CCDL and stay as informed and proactive as I can. Is there an organization that has a comprehensive list to name the local reps that support us and the 2A because I haven't found one yet? All the talk about how the best way to stay on top is to vote the right people in. I'm ready an willing to do my part and persuade my friends and relatives as well but I need some help.

As if our vote has a say, in today's day and age.

If voting had the value it once had, they would have taken it away from us long ago.

Please watch and listen to this and let its words sink in.

not to be rude guys,
But dont you think you should do some reading by yourselves on each candidate and make an informed decision yourself?
Relying on a group to tell you who you should vote for is not good and it is lazy.

...Remember the NRA supported Harry Reid and gave him a B or a A rating not too long ago.

You make a good point.

On the other hand, I've found that ar15.com is often an efficient way to gather news and get political info, especially with regard to 2A stuff.

Example, if you're looking at the Norwalk mayoral race, no other news outlet will tell you that one of the candidates used to sign off on Form 1s/4s without issue.  Whether that is critical info or not is another story, but it is a data point you won't find anywhere else.

I voted and campaigned for Mitch Bolinsky, during the last local elections. He swore himself upside-down, inside-out and bckwards, that he was "A Constitution Man".
He voted to neuter us by standing behind Malloy.
McKinney promised me that he would not allow our Second Amendment rights to be overthrown, while he was on the bi-partisan committee for Malloy's gun control vendetta.
He voted to neuter us by standing behind Malloy.
Will I vote? Probably.
I'd rather vote ALL of them out.

My earlier post was merely for educational purposes, to "plant the seed" of revolt.

Tom Foley's the only other one to run for the GOP slot, against McKinney.

I don't think there's a third party candidate.

I totally agree with what some of you are saying about reading and learning and making an informed decision myself. I am confident of a few, but with the organizations with millions of dollars of funding, lawyers, lobbyists, and such I would trust thier opinions as they are on our side. Colorado showed a great example of organizing the vote and making the goal clear and easy to shoot for. If we had green and red stickers slapped on all those political signs that said pro2A or anti2A that would help a lot of people that are otherwise out of the loop. Sorry if it sounds ignorant and lazy, but politically I think a lot of people are. I myself have a long way to go before I would call myself fully informed. In the meantime, we have a vote tomorrow and some guidance would be great.

I agree with the whole read, learn, make your own decision statement. However, I, as many others I'm sure, have become a single issue voter. I'm only going to vote for you if you're pro 2A, and only when both candidates are will I care to compare further. I think compiling a general list for some would reduce the risk of unintended votes for anti 2A candidates while also helping to avoid votes being split between two pro 2A candidates while a third anti sneaks by with a majority

This is why I disagree with the single issue voter argument.
You could vote in another Harry Reid, the NRA did give him a B+/A- rating.Which was higher than what his Republican challenger received.

Guys just gather whatever information you can from different sources do some reading and make an informative decision. That is all I am saying.
It will not take much of your time.

I vote, I just voted yesterday. When you are forced to choose between the least offensive of two candidates, what choice is that really? Obama/Romney? They were both in the big banks pockets. We are not escaping the two party no political choice system without a fight. Our politicians have forgotten long ago, that they work for us and not the other way around.

The main difference between voting for local or state level elections and voting for President is The Supreme Court of the United States. Like or hate McCain and Romney (both were a poor candidates), there is NO WAY IN HELL ether one of them would have nominated two far left socialists like Kagan and Sotomayor. We know who Obama will nominate in the next three years god forbid anything happens to any of the current five who sided with the Bill of Rights (twice - Heller and McDonald). If Obama replaces Scalia, Alito, Kennedy or Thomas we can kiss our 2A rights goodbye since Roberts is now a coin flip after his ruling Obamacare a tax rather than what the legislation and the legislators who voted for it called it (a fee).

I keep telling people, while Obama could do a lot of damage in four or eight years in the White House, significantly MORE damage can be done by activists, socialist, justices on SCOTUS. They will be there for 20 or more years gleefully shredding the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.

Not to be rude but if any of you spent 1/4 of the time you spend on this website and used that time to get involved locally not only would you be better educated in regards to the candidates you might even make a difference.

I got involved, was nominated and elected, I get sworn in 2 weeks.
The commission I will serve on is staffed by guys I've known for years, and is now under a Republican majority control.

Stop your bitchin and fix what you can, support those that share your views so they can fix what you can't.

IIRC The Revolution was fought by 3% of the colonists, likewise most towns are run by a lesser percentage.

Well done, sir, and well said.

Congrats, to you and to us.

This thread makes me feel doomed, otherwise.
