I cant seem to find anything in the new law that would require ANY TYPE OF PERMIT to purchase reloading components (powder, primers, brass, bullets)
Am I making sense, or do you still need one of the permits to by these items? Thoughts? |

The state defines ammunition as follows: "ammunition" means a loaded cartridge, consisting of a primed case, propellant or projectile, designed for use in any firearm
Anything that doesn't meet that definition can be purchased without one of the required permits/certificates to purchase ammunition. And the requirement to have a permit/certificate to buy ammunition or ammunition magazine doesn't kick in until October 1, 2013. |

So the (my) sensible answer is:
Just keep buying and stocking up, eventually they might catch on. My personal plan is to get 5K ahead on the components I need for each of the four calibers I reload for, and continue to buy to stay at 5K for each as I shoot them off. This ammo shortage will absolutely come around again And buy .22 lr whenever I can at a decent price Bunker Mentaility? Absolutely! |
| I never used to store much ammo. Now I can't seem to get enough. I plan to store a few thousand rounds of factory ammo for SHTF. I reload .223 and .45 and I am building up stocks of supplies for that too. Powder is still real tough to come by. I will store lots of reloads too. I never used to think this way but after Obama was re-elected I am not sure that we are not headed for some weird times. If we get a long term power outage from a storm or something I want to protect my property and more importantly my family. If the people who live off the state stop getting their free food and cable they may start to forage. |

Week-long power outages from fall/winter storms have been the norm for this state over the past 2 years, and one day the power just won't come back on. Stack 'em deep, lock 'n load. |

What if Obama and them know something....maybe thats why they dont want you having what you have |
