So if I have so called AW is it illegal for me to have spare parts? Does it fall into the category of "having parts readily available to assemble an AW"? Am I a bad guy if I have an extra firing pin or a pistol grip hanging out that I replaced with a Magpul grip? WTF!!!!
What if you register a stripped lower and have an LPK for it, illegal? Or, do you have to build it and not have the LPK separate? This state is pool of cow dung. |

You can't be charged with a crime for having an individual "part" (even an assault weapon part) as long as that part is not considered to be a firearm(completed lower) or as long as you don't have several parts that when added up or assembled would equal a functioning firearm. So if you have one complete lower with a serial # and then a bunch of different optional or extra parts for it as long as you register the lower as an AW you're fine. |
