| I have searched and couldn't find anything. Are the forms out I would like to get this over with. Blast away if you want I just don't want to wait to the ladt minute thanks |

I wish for havoc.
I hope the massive bureaucratic mess they have created prevents them from issuing the paperwork until very late, thus ensuring a nuclear holocaust of paperwork hits the system at the very last minute. Somebody has to feel the pain of this ridiculousness besides us. Almost feel bad for the paper pushers and bean counters tasked with this shitbag. Almost. |

From what ive read about the state ban of 93, then extended the registration deadline twice for a total of an extra year. I wouldnt be surprised of there is an extension this time too. That's exactly what I'm thinking. Even if there's 100k "assault weapons" in CT that need registering (I'm think that's probably on the low side considering that .22lr target pistols are AWs) the math doesn't add up. If the forms are available in August, that leaves 5 months to register. 5 months = ~ 100 working days. 100,000 AWs / 100 working days = 1000 registrations per day. And that assumes everyone has their paper work in on the exact day the forms come out. Which isn't realistic. The reality is people will turn them in at the last minute. What happens when you don't have your certificate of possession by the 1/1/2014 deadline? Even if your paperwork is in flight, according to the law, you can probably still be arrested because you lack the cert in your hands. I know the CSP was looking at hiring 40 people to handle the extra work load, but now also consider that that's going to take time and training before those folks can work. Now also consider the magazine registrations, ammo licenses, and long gun licenses. Something has got to give and I'm thinking it ought to be the deadline...... This is a legit shit storm. |

Not out yet, heard they won't be until around August. Its possible we could see them by July 1st since the DESPP FAQ discussed elsewhere indicates that the applications for the long gun and ammunition certificates will be available by July 1. Doubtful. IMO, they will prioritize registration/licensing schemes based on deadlines. No way are they flipping the switch on all these items overnight. |

Just for laughs "someone I know" counted 415 undocumented magazines. Some not marked at all and possibly for firearms long gone, calibers unknown That "someone you know" will enjoy spending hours attaching bar codes to all those magazines(relevant part starts at (9:10). |

Did these jag-offs say there were fees on anything? I have a feeling we're going to get charged for something. No. While the law mandates fees for the ammunition certificate and the long gun eligibility certificate, it does not detail or mandate fees for the "certificate of possession" for assault weapons or for registering large capacity magazines. |
