My wife is looking for a daily carry...I was wondering what you guys thought of the Glock 30sf.And is the mag gonna be an issue with the new law?.I'm not a pistol guy at all so I have very little knowledge...Her father carries a 1911and she loves it..But a bit big for her for daily carry..She is open to suggestions...She also likes the XDS...Thanks

I have an xds. I love it. But you better be a good shot . 5+1..... I have a walther pps which is a .40 . I like that too . They are both very slim. I do hate the mag button on the pps. It's a part of the trigger guard.

She is a better shot then me most of the time...But she has been shooting for 40+ years....I wish I could talk her into something besides a .45 but her father convinced her on the big round in stressful situations...I like the glock for the ten rounds, gives me more peace of mind..

Glock 30sf. I would thinks it is good to go. The law is pretty clear it is talking about large capacity mags over 10 rounds.

Public Act No. 13-3 39 of 140
such large capacity magazine (A) is within a pistol or revolver that was
lawfully possessed by the person prior to the effective date of this
section, (B) does not extend beyond the bottom of the pistol grip, and
(C) contains not more than ten bullets.

G30sf is good to go- my daily carry. You can get 9 or 10 rounders (10 being the most common, and I use the Pearce pinky replacement bottoms). Even the "sf" is a pretty substantial grip- she have large hands?

It's a really nice gun.

Like the 19, it's the other "do it all" Glock.  It is good for CCW, target shooting, training new shooters, home defense, etc, etc.

Like other Glocks, it may not "feel" as good as other guns in the store, but it all comes together when actually shooting it.  The blocky grip provides traction where needed to keep it from slipping and allow a firm grip.  The "bulge" allows the pistol to be firmly controlled under recoil and driven back onto target quickly.

It's probably my next Glock.

The XDS is too small to use effectively. Followup shot times were abysmal, and reloading requiring releasing your grip almost entirely on the gun.

I just laid hands on a G30S which I have high hopes for, but was also impressed with the M&P45C.
