Are flash hiders legal on a pre ban rifle?The reason I ask is a buddy of mine bought a Silencerco Saker in Feb already tranfered to his dealer and he already sent his paperwork to ATF.
In March we went to the transfer dealer to check it out and there was no mounting system (Trifecta and MAAD Mount)so he called the dealer and they said it would ship to him instead of the transfer dealer. So today he decides to call to see where the mount is after a month and they tell him that they cannot ship to CT because its a flash hider he tells them that he is putting it on a preban rifle and they basically told him he is SOL and he has to buy another mount thats not a flash hider or buy a different suppressor and on top of all this he said they told him that the $240 for the Trifecta mount was not going to be reimbursed.So what do you guys think the guy he was talking to didnt know what he was talking about or is he SOL? |
