| I have wondered about this for a long time now and i need to know what you think.....I am a right handed shooter and i want a nice long distance rifle. I am looking at a par of left handed action rifles in 223 and 308. My question is how many of you shoot a left handed rifle right handed?? I talked to someone that said that some people do this so they never have to take there eye off the target and what not....What does everyone here think???? |

Are you right handed and left eye dominant.?
I shoot both eyes open for situational awareness and filed of view, but that's only with my carbine, handgun, shotgun. A long shooter with a high power scope may be different for me, not sure. Then again with my 1-4x mounted on the carbine, I still shoot both open out to 100 yrds. That was absolutely no help to you huh? Sorry.

Why would you get a left handed action if you are a right hand shooter? I am a right handed shooter and don't have to take my eyes off the target to cycle a right handed bolt action. However, if you do repeat the motion enough times then muscle memory takes over. I hope you are getting a screaming deal on the pair, otherwise I would pass for standard "righty" actions. Besides, it will be difficult finding left handed bullets. ![]() |
