| Looking to get a new muzzle break for my AR. I've heard JoJo's does really good work. Can anyone recommend another shop or backup JoJo's? I know there is ADCO but I figured I could save on shipping costs and other costs. Thanks guys. |

Jo-jos does great work.
Not sure where you are located in CT but they are almost an hour each way for me. Costs me $20 in fuel each trip. So add 40 to the price of work. Anyway I still have ADCO do all my barrel work. They are usually cheaper and quicker. Plus I dont have to drive there. If you are close it is a toss up. |

dunno what you have seen for a timeline, but i dropped off a pistol to be threaded friday at 6pm and they were calling me at 10am saturday morning to come pick it up I have had things there anywhere from a day to a couple weeks. Depends how busy they are. There is no way I am going to make that drive 2 days in a row. Like I said they do great work just a bit far for me. I just drop a package in the mail to ADCO and about 4 or 5 days later it is on my door step. Same price if not cheaper and I dont have to waste 6 hours of my time. |

Quoted: Another question for you guys while I'm on it. 14.5" barrels need a pinned comp/muzzle break to be legal at 16.1". In CT, if the barrel is already 16" in length, do you still need a pinned muzzle break/comp, or can you go about it without. If the 16" barrel is on a post-ban and you want to put a brake on it then yes it needs to be pinned/welded. If the barrel is 16" and has a target crown (no threads, no flash hider) then you are good to go. |
