I'm really interested in this, but the qualifier at Metacon is full. Do you guys know of any other places that are offering qualifiers around CT?

This is a constant issue that I've noticed––as soon as anyone posts a qualifier, it's magically full. It sure would be nice if some of these clubs could run a a few qualifiers, or a day of qualifiers so that more people could get qualified and participate. |

bring your gun/holster/ammo and be ready to shoot. there is nothing to it and all the matches i've been to the everyone is helpful and friednly. go with the intention of shooting, let them know you are a first timer.
if you haven't shot competitively, realize you will suck. everyone there shot there first match and they sucked to. leave your ego at home and go have fun. edit...realize, idpa is pretty straightforward, for example, the rules say you will never shoot more than 18 rounds in a course of fire. its not like an ipsc blast fest where you can shoot more rounds in a single cof than you will in an entire idpa match. and seriously, no ego. listen to the folks running the match and have fun! |
