Transfers of GUNS go thru FFLs. FFLs are NOT needed to "transfer" mags. There are no S/Ns and no registration requirements in MA. They simply MUST be mfd pre-9/13/1994 to be legal, that's all . . . plus the buyer MUST have a MA LTC. I've bought pre-ban AR mags thru ARfcom before, sent check and received package in the USMail. That's all (he should have asked for a copy of my LTC, don't recall if he did or not). Since Most MA FFLs sell pre-ban AR mags for $30-50 (yes, I've seen them priced that high), they are UNLIKELY to want to "transfer" pre-ban mags to a MA Resident . . . they'd much rather sell theirs (that they pay $10 for from a Free State) for those horrendously inflated prices. |
