Do you think our new governer Malloy, will pardon him? After all he doesn't believe in the death penalty.

Hayes will live to be 110 in prison and I would have died by 60 working my ass off paying taxes. Some system huh?

When Lawlor and his gang inevitably send legislation to overturn CT's death penalty to the governors desk for signature, don't expect Malloy to veto it like Aunt Jodi did last time.

In Connecticut, unlike many other states, only the legislature has the power to pardon, or commute a death sentence to life. All the Governor can do is issue a reprieve, and send it to the legislature. Due to the horrific nature of these crimes, and do to the fact that Komisarjevsky will have joined Hayes on death row, it would risk the re-election of senators and representatives to commute their death penalties.

That case was a wake up call for ct. It got people interested in owning guns that never thought about it, and it got people agreeing with the death penalty that were always against it. It would be political suicide to change his sentence to life.

Thank god- how could you possible look the father in the eyes if you were going to give this animal life, soak him with gas and light him up.

They should let the father give that shitbag the needle himself.  He is a doctor afterall.

Yep... and as a neurologist, he has been the one to declare death many, many times...

Both of those sh*tbags need a date with the needle.

You say that like our state reps give a rat's ass what we think...Malloy's election via blatant voter fraud only proves that point.  They're going to do whatever the hell they want in this state and the pantywaist voters in this state will just grab their ankles and say "BOHICA."  I've lost all respect for anyone and everyone in this state (except my fellow ARFCommers, of course).  The people in this state are such dumbshits that they can't even tell their ass from a hole in the ground.  They'd rather be slaves to a corrupt, politically correct system than rock the boat and point out what's right in front of their faces.  Hell, I'd run for office, but I'm sure my temper would probably set the GOP back 100 years in this state because I'm rip-roaring mad about this shit going on.

Needle is too kind.

I was thinking red-hot poker shoved into the rectum, followed by decapitation with a butter knife.

BNo.  Malloy is not going to commit political suicide.

Lawlor and co will not try to stop on Hayes.  They will wait until either no one in particular Is pending immediate cap punishment or someone can be exploited as victim of the judicial system.(I.e. a mentally deficient or minority person).  Hayes will be on death row for 20 years before they throw the switch.  A lot can happen in that time, but hayes is virtually untlouchable and apolitical in his condemnation bhy the public that no defense attny could pick up his flag now.
Cap punishment legisdlation will be in limbo for 10 years min.

It is the long wait and obvious politicizing that turns me off of cap punishment.  It turns courts and legislatures into circuses.  Do not get me wrong that this man deserves his fate. Throw the switch or throw away the key.  No dicking around, no politics, no infamy allowed.

No political suicide will be required. CT has no limit on the time or number of appeals that can be filed in a death penalty case.

The anti-death penalty organizations will be more than happy to keep the ball rolling for as long as it takes. Without improved legislation similar to Texas legislation,  Hayes and his soon to be convicted accomplice will die from natural causes. Unless they ask for it like Michael Ross did or the Gen Pop get a hold of them like what happened to Jeffry Dahmer.

EHP: So with that majority, are there certain things you'd like to get done?

ML: [Abolishing] the death penalty. We debate that every two years, so I'm sure there will be a debate this year or next year.

EHP: The Legislature passed a bill last session banning the practice, but Republican Gov. Jodi Rell vetoed it.

ML: [Likely Gov.-elect] Dan [Malloy] says if we pass it he'll sign it.

Way too easy to predict that one.
There isn't one thing that man says, does, stands for, or believes in that doesn't spike my blood pressure into dangerous levels.

You and I think the same!

Were doomed in this state! But, we won't hang alone! Maybe the city buses will break down in two years and the Dems won't get the votes to help that Keynan or his wacked out CT buddies from putting the final nail in our coffen.

We need to make a law so that you can't vote if you are on government assistance. It's bribery, vote for me and I'll increase your welfare and medicaid.

then they will let hayes fry, but once they figure the public feels like they got "juustice" they will come back then with full force progressive bullshit then and try to abolish it.  which I could care less about, but the real problem is that hayesand his skinny butt buddy were out free.  the problem with the justice system is there, not with cap punishment, but I digress.

put hayes in general population and he will be shanked to death within a week.  death row is too good for him
