Hi All:

Project Appleseed in CT has been hard at work signing up ranges and dates. We still have five events for the remainder of this year and we're working on filling the calendar for 2011.

I wanted to highlight in particular our "Pumpkinseed" on October 30-31, 2010 at none other than Blue Trail Range in Wallingford! It's our first shoot in Southern CT and will be the largest Appleseed in CT to date. Should be a great time, so if you've ever hesitated to go to an Appleseed because they were "too far north" from you, this is the shoot for you.

And if you can't make Blue Trail, come on out to any of our other events:

October 30-31, 2010: Wallingford, CT (Blue Trail Range)
Event Info  |   Pre-Register

November 20-21, 2010: E. Granby, CT (Hartford Gun Club)
Event Info  |   Pre-Register

December 4-5, 2010: Colebrook, CT (NWCSA)
Event Info  |   Pre-Register

As always, post here or PM with questions.

Thanks for helping make Appleseed such a huge success here in CT and across the nation!

See you on the firing line,
CJ

If you have not done this yet, go do it.  This applies to all levels of shooters.

My groups went from "improved cylinder choke" to cloverleafs by the end of day 1 with an $80 marlin .22LR rifle and a $60 scope.  The improvement that I saw from multiple students was incredible.  Lifelong shooters, former military, etc, etc, all got their speed and accuracy substantially improved.  Going back today for day 2 to see if I can qualify with my A2 or M4. On top of that, it is a lot of fun and inspiring.  Thanks to the excellent instructors, and HGC for the facilities.

2nd day edit:  Finished day 2.  Took more of a back seat today and watched a bunch of people substantially improve by a considerable margin.  The actual internalization of lessons occurred today for many folks.  Any shooter will take home the knowledge and experience to get a relatively new shooter shooting decent groups very quickly.

Alrighty folks, the Blue Trail Range shoot is coming up! Get your spot on the line for this shoot. This'll probably be the last Appleseed in nice-ish weather. We'll be running shoots during the winter, of course, but if laying in prone in the cold and snow ain't your thing, then this Appleseed is for you.

Hey all,

Just a quick update to this thread. We only have a handful of spots left for the shoot at Blue Trail in Wallingford on Oct. 30-31. So if you're on the fence, hop on off and get signed up!

See you on the firing line,
CJ

Good point, but not everyone is a hunter, but anyone can be a rifleman.

We do. And we still run Appleseeds at all times of the year, regardless of hunting seasons or any other factors. We tend to get fewer folks during the winter shoots for obvious reasons, but people still come out, so it's worth it to us.

November is showing 12 out of 20 spots pre-registered, so not so bad. I expect that one will sell out too or at least be close to selling out. Hartford Gun Club is a very popular host range for us.

And as Dan said, not everyone with a rifle hunts.
