I was just browsing through the EE, old and new and I had an idea.  I know this forum says no: for sale or trade ads.  BUT what if we were to make a dedicated thread to wanted, for sale, or trade within the state of Connecticut And no Dealer/Business Ads?  I know you can search in the EE and whatever but this would make it more convienent for a quick glance to see what someone recently posted.  Of course with a Mod's permission first, to not get thread locked.  It would have to have similar rules to the originial EE with a bump every 72 hrs, or hell even change it to 5 days to keep from cluttering it up too much.

Tell me what you guys think, would be a handy thread.

I will contact a Moderator if this get some positive respones.

I also understand it would be difficult to control if people bumped too soon, etc. Simply because it would be in a single thread.  It would need cooperation and an understanding of everyone to follow the rules!

Give me your input please!!!!

Thanks
Ian

Doubt they'd do it.

Isn't M4store the only one that posts ad's in the Ct section?

Yeah M4store is the only one but I didn't want to say any specific names.

We have a CT only section just back out of this thread and scroll to the top of the CT HTF and you will see all CT EE ads...

I know there is the CT section listed at the top of the New England Forum.  I just thought something other than the EE would be more convenient.  But looks like I was wrong, never hurts to try.

I don't even look anymore because of the fact that I don't need any M4store parts.... I support the OP's idea

M4store isn't posting ads to the CT section.  They are posting ads to the EE and that section automatically filters through and directs the CT ads to the one at the top of the page.  Since there are very few people posting on the EE from CT they dominate the section.  How hard is it to roll through and look for the other posts?  Not very is the answer.  There are only a few pages.

I just looked.  There are a total of 3 pages of ads for CT.  If M4 store wasn't there it may be one page.  Are you telling me you are to lazy to scroll through 3 pages or CT ads?  Let's get real here.  I chalk this up to the same thing as people posting a new question every day about M16 bolt carriers or M4 feed ramps.  They are simply too lazy to read through and see that the same topic has already been posted 400 times this month.

I agree that it is not difficult to check the EE for local ads.  It was just an idea.

Thanks for the input

I wish more folks would have their state listed. I've gone through the EE and have stumbled across items in CT that haven't shown up in the CT EE. Seems the seller didn't have CT as their home state in their profile or sumting like that
