Do they still make you shoot at predetermined distances only (50/100 yards for rifle and 25 yards for pistol) or can you shoot any distance there? also, is it just sit down, slow fire? or can i attempt to do more than one shot every 3 seconds |

Been there once, will never go back.
Too much money for horrible service. Having to use a key card to go in or out of a fenced in area? retarded. Especially when you are making multiple trips to your truck and back, or if you want to go get a target stand. Only being able to set targets at 50 or 100 yds, and if you want to change, you have to tell the RO office and move all your stuff to an entirely different lane. Only able to shoot rifles sitting down. No option for prone, or standing up. Fast fire restriction that has no rule on how many shots per how many seconds, so when you stop doing double taps after they yell at you, and go to 1 shot per second, they still yell at you.
We were told to pack up stuff 10 minutes before last cease fire, we did. After we had packed up everything a couple of friends and I were standing in the parking lot chatting about something, and the guy at the gate yells over "We're not getting any younger here!", essentially telling us to get the fuck out. Crappy service, too high of a price, and too much "bullshit" to put up with. If you're going to go shooting on the weekend High-Rock is a significantly better choice. |

Unfortunately their prices were increased due to the impending law suits in the last couple years. This is also the reason for the security gate which they never had a couple of years ago. I never shoot rifle less than 100 yds and I never shoot prone or standing, or rapid fire, so none of these rules have any affect on me. If they haven't changed this policy, it's pay one price all day during the week, which High Rock isn't even open to NON members. What does suck is that they have indefinitely closed the 200 yard range, and have also banned the shooting of 50 bmg rifles. |
