Are a comp and brake the same thing? Is it legal in MA to have something labled a flashhider/Comp , or does it have to say just comp or brake....?
Thanks |
| technically comps and brakes are similar yet different. muzzle brakes are usually used on larger caliber firearms to tame recoil. comps are used on smaller calibers and mostly redirect gases to decrease barrel flex. they both redirect gases. muzzle brakes tend to reduce recoil more than comps. though the terms comp and brake can and are used interchangably. make sure that for MA it specifically says brake and or comp and you are good to go. |
