Going from CT to VT How should I transport 2 handguns and a rifle through MA?

Guns locked in a case in the trunk, ammo locked up separately.
And do NOT stop in MA for anything but food and gas!

I would skip Mass and go around, oh wait, NY isn't any better. Seriously, lock them in the trunk with the ammo seperate and don't give the State Police any reason to pull you over (speeding, broken tail light etc.)
