Brattleboro is loaded with hippies............. ![]() Still? Worse than ever. Had one block my car in traffic because he deemed me a "rich yuppie" because I was driving my friend's '01 Saab. He acted real tough, swinging his wallet chain in circles while staring me down. What he didn't expect was that I got out of the car and he high-tailed it as fast as he could. Not just a hippy but a pussy as well. |

Sorry, when I lived down that way we had enough land we shot on our own place. That was back in the days you could go to the dump and shoot rats to! Yeah we don't have enough property up there to shoot on. Yeah, we had a 150 acres. You near Wilmington or up around Mt Snow itself? |

wheretoshoot.org has a bunch of places listed, but they are all private. Although, it's $40 or so for a year membership, which is an awesome price. It's $500 or so a year for a private club around me, plus dozens of hours of work. My local range here is nothing fancy... basically a gravel pit with six coverd shooting benches and a 100 yard range and another small pistol range. But it only costs $25 a year! |

We can see the Mt. out of our windows. |

How many acres til it’s legal to shoot in VT, i believe CT is 10 acres (way tooo costly to buy here) ...My buddy and i are planning on purchasing property in southern VT for recreation purpose, nice to know the limit. |

There is no minimum acreage... as long as you have a good backstop, and do not shoot after 10pm you should be good to go. Depending on where you are you might piss off some neighbors and its always good to try to work with them. |

we'll be out there tomorrow round noon unless it really starts comin' down.
the range is on lime kiln road in charlotte, just ask one of the laberge's (the farmers down the street or the white house across the street or Louie in the house right before the big hill) for permission and you'll be g2g. Louie's |

TOO COLD TO SHOOT ??? Blasphemy. sk No kidding. I was born here, and I'll probably die here, but I'll be damned if I likes the cold ![]() Might be a FROZEN CHOSEN shoot this winter. Get some decent gloves and wear plenty of layers. I'll let you all know when I do. sk |
