Good god, I never thought I'd miss New Hampshire so much. Fall is one of my favorite times to be in New England, but I am down in Maryland attending college.

Maryland is ok, I haven't seen much of the state, but it just can't compare to where I was born and raised.

I miss going for long walks on my property, playing with my dog outside, being able to shoot targets in my backyard, and not being woken up by police sirens at 2 in the morning. What really ticks me off is the closest Dunkin Donuts is a few miles away, but I'm not allowed to have a car on campus. I've been Dunkin's free for almost a month. I'm jonsin' for some fresh brew!

Oh well, I guess this is part of growing up. I still can't wait until I can come home in November though!

So to all of my fellow New Englanders I ask you to do me a favor. Enjoy life, because there is no other place I'd rather be right now than back home.

Well you aren't missing much today.  It's raining out and a little chilly for September.

But you're right, there is no better place, I'm never leaving.

On the lake in Burlington its overcast and warm.  Perfect day for lounging on the porch and grilling some meat.

Mmmm Dunkin Donuts....

As I like to say “I live in Arizona but NEW HAMPSHIRE is and always will be home”. Best of all we have a Dunkin Donut shop one mile from us. All they need to do now is bring the beaches of Rye NH here and it will almost be home

Rye does have some beautiful beaches.  What took you to Arizona?

It's tough leaving home for an unknown and vastly different place than what you're used to, but don't let that ruin what should be an important experience in your life.  I can completely understand how you feel though;  Neither my wife or I missed home one bit during undergrad, but now that she is in graduate school, we both miss home (PA) a lot.  You end up thinking about it a lot and wondering if you made the right decisions that got you there, but ultimately what helps us both is to remind ourselves that it's temporary and that after a few years of working hard, you can move back home or to wherever you like.  Just think... someday in the future, long after you've graduated you'll be working and you'll wish you could trade your left nut for one night in your college days.

Oh, and it's not a bad thing about Dunkin' being so far away... caffeine ain't good for you anyways and will make your prostate enlarge faster which is not anything you want to be thinking about just yet.  Stick to the orange juice!

Snow falls with a crash,
That is much too loud to hear.
One must listen right.

I made that one while sitting in my treestand one day.

Think you miss NH, I moved to Tenneessee!

Talk about different. I've been here just over a year now. I've only recently started to really miss New England. I guess a year away is just long enough for you to forget how cold it gets in the winter, how buggy it is in the summer and how muddy it is the rest of the year.

All the same, you're right. There is no place in the world like NH in fall. I'll be back there to stay, one day.

No kidding. I have a hot cousin too. A shame she lives in Jersey, which has no redeeming qualities at all.

You know, thats one thing that I've yet to hear any disagreement on in either the North or South. Jersey is a shit hole. Sorry if you live there, but it's the damn truth.
