Does anyone know what the time frame is normally for this? I mailed out the application and a check over two months ago and they cashed the check about three weeks after that. It is taking a lot longer than it did to get the Maine resident and I am not sure if this is normal. |

That is very odd, the website said they are processed within 14 days but mine is still in process 40 days later. The woman said that she can not tell anything more than it is still in process  I have absolutely nothing that would show up on a background check so this is a little strange for me. Is it posibble they are just really back logged? |
| I would guess that maybe your paperwork got lossed or something like that. I have always gotten mine within a week, but I live in state. I'd call them again and have them look into it further. I can't imagine they are backlogged that bad to cause that long of a dilay. Something sounds wrong. |

This is a serious problem right now, compounded by a number of problems, including understaffing, backlogs, and in the recent past the printer cartridge running out of ink. OCDO Thread |
| I recently got mine and it took quite a long time as well. It was 2 months after they cashed the check when I called. The lady was very nice and told me it was approved and had been put into batching. What that is I have no idea. It was about 2 more weeks till I got it. She told me they were about a month and a half behind. |

159:6 License to Carry. – I. "...The license shall be issued within 14 days after application, and, if such application is denied, the reason for such denial shall be stated in writing, the original of which such writing shall be delivered to the applicant, and a copy kept in the office of the person to whom the application was made. Really unusual. Mine usually takes no more than 4 days. Mind if I ask what town? |

Check and App. sent: July 5 Check cashed: August 14 License received: August 16  i checked my bank account last night online. and the check had not been cashed according to the web site. however, after the mail came, which was 20 minutes ago, i checked my balance again. and the money was gone. according to the copy of the check online, it was processed on the 14th. i think it took less time to get my MA resident license.

My friend mailed his NH non-resident application the last week of July and he received his license the second week of September. He said it expires 4 years and 8 months from the date it was issued. Does anyone know if a non-res license is void when you become a NH resident or does it just get converted to a NH res license? TIA |
