Hi All!
Just in case you're not in the know...the brand new Bassproshops is opening at Gillette Stadium tomorrow night, 11/14, 6pm.

I can't wait to see the store.  My boyfriend, GPK007, works in hunting there.  He's been putting in 20 hour days the last week and 15 hour days the last month getting the store ready.

AND, as if a Basspro in New England isn't cool enough, Mike Vrabel, Rodney Harrison, and Matt Light will be there from the Patriots 6:30-8:30pm.

I'll be there with sharpie and perhaps something other than skin for them to sign!

WOOT!

It's great that all these great stores are finally coming to New England. I'm really looking forward to the Cabelas that's going to be a half hour from my house in Hookset. A shame though that they put this one in MA. If they sell ammo, only MA folks can buy it.

HI TIM!  how's it going way down there in Southern RI?  i hope things are going better for you, hon.

OK, range report for BASSPRO.  I will leave out the fact that the opening night was VERY disorganized as far as the Patriots signing autographs goes.  We (my son and I) waited in line for 2 hours, only to be told after the 2 hours that the Pats had left after an hour and 15 minutes.  Wait, I said I'd leave that out, right?  Oh Well.  Just a bit disappointed.  Not Basspro's fault, but they were supposed to be there until 8:30pm.

The store itself is FABULOUS!  It's bigger than the Kittery Trading Post, 2 floors, with an open atrium in the center.  Stuff to look at everywhere, mounts, a huge boat suspended right in the middle of the store, waterfalls, a 22,500 gallon tank with fresh water fish (huge!), turtles.  The Fishing department is mind blowing.  One entire wall of just rooster tails (my favorite lure to feed to the fish..)  Lots of clothes to keep your wife busy after she tires of looking at the fishing/hunting/archery stuff.  A gift shop, food stuff, camping gear, cookware.  Just astounding.  The Hunting department is just amazing.  The gun case itself is probably 50 feet long, and just as many rifles on the wall behind it.  Lots of knowledgeable guys (but if you're smart you'll ask for George).
There's an archery range, and a fun arcade style shooting game for the kids.

Well worth the trip, and the traffic wasn't bad at all.  Prices are great, too.  A great place to take the family!
