Private shooting range.  You're lucky, I have to go to
ST. Albans.  But it is worth it.

Are there any ranges/places to shoot local to Burlington area? the range in Jericho's is just for military right? I used to live out by there on some land but now we bought in the middle of town. So no shooting on my .5 acre.

Most likely not.  We are moving mid October so I will be busy with fixing this place up and packing.  But we will have to meet up at some point.

not quite local to  Burlington, but near St Albans Bay, we have Franklin county Sportsman club; trap, skeet, outdoor rifle, and during winter months, indoor pistol.
Also many activities during the year, skeet tournaments, CMP shoots, etc. Members are strongly encouraged to be active and attend meetings, but it's not required. We have recently had meetings to discuss dues/budget issues, but I missed it(d'oh), so not sure of the outcome.

As for gun shops, any decent ones in the area?  At most 20 miles away.

Powederhorn in Williston would be my first vote.  Bill is a good guy, and they have been putting a lot of focus on the AR platform in his shop.  He usually has 15-30 of them in stock at any given time.  He also carry's Tango Down, BHI, Surfire, Pentagon, EO Tech, Trijicon, and Magpul to name a few.  Prices are right on too.

Where on Williston road is it? Google says its in the middle of the street and in the middle of a corn field.

Intersection of US 2 (Williston Road) and VT 2A.

Mobil satation. Next building on Williston Road, towards Burlington, same side of the road. Looks empty, rocks out side. Go in the door, down the stairs, and you are there.

And make sure you go UPSTAIRS once you get there.  Most of the AR parts and  cool gear is on the upper floor.
