OK, the false alarm yesterday got me thinking.  How do we get out of the state (with guns) in an emergency.  The main roads are a parking lot during rush hour.  Imagine what would happen if there was an evacuation.  The closest boarder for me would be to take I95 to NY but that's only heading into more problems.  I could go the other way on I84 and head for MA, NH or ME.  I-95 east would take me to RI.  Maybe Rt 8 north, go through MA to VT.  VT would probably be the best place to go because they're gun friendly, however getting through MA with guns may be a problem.

The state of CT needs to get a SHTF evacuation plan.   I know there are evacuation plans for the areas around the Milstone Nuke plant but I never heard of any plans for evacuating the whole state.

What do you guys think?

Tinfoil hat off.

Your allowed to travel through a state aslong as you can own your guns in the destination state.  Since NH is gun friendly, no-prob, just remember to keep them locked int he trunk while in MA, and most other states.  Beside, in SHTF, the cops have bigger problems then pulling you over for a traffic violation.

In a real SHTF, stay of the major highways, they get jammed with normal traffic as it is, can you imagine a whole city's worth of people trying to leave at once?  I would go north, but I also have a house in NH to go too.
