Always cracks me up during these type of storms, you got the folks you constantly shovel the windrow at the end of the driveway. If you just leave it, it will only get as tall as the plow making it, and when you clear that hole out, the plow emptys into the end of the driveway. If you leave it, the plow emptys at the intersection. I always feel a little bad when mr and mrs citizen shovel out the end and I come along and fill it in again. I apologize to anyone in the Natick area for the mild heart attacks. |

Hell, if they can afford to live in Natick, my sympathy is limited. This is my neck of the woods: www.hansonrodandgunclub.com/ |

You must be making some good money in the past 2 weeks. I never shovel until the plows are done (usually 2 days later) for instance,I will be shoveling out the wife's car today. What pisses me off is the sheeple who park on the wrong side of the street during a parking ban.like my neighbors. |
Hey, you got a good MG shoot( I know :)) |
Enjoy it while you got it- some winters here there's is no snow at all. As for Mr and Mrs Public, they understand about the plows and their jobs, if they grew up out in the country. Yu just wait until it's done snowing, then you shovel or get out the snowblower. If the plows come by, you just plow out the end of the driveway when you get a chance. If they are from the city, however, they gripe and bitch about everything, and have no clue about shovelling or snowblowers, but are always the first to come over and tell YOU how to do it....""that's not how we do it in Rozzie" ![]() Could be worse- in Northborough, there is a sometimes-enforced town law about clearing off any sidewalks on your property within 6 hrs. of the end of a storm, and fire hydranst must be cleared, too. If not, $50.00 fine. I have always cleared out my sidewalks, but historically nobody else in the neighborhood does. The attitude is, "who cares? Nobody walks- the kids can play in the street." The new PD chief from CT has sent out notices in the local papers saying they are going to fine people if they don't, because emergency vehicles are having a tough time getting through, and people are complaining about fire response times. So far, I'm still the only one who plows, exc. for the liberal neighbor, whom I shamed into doing his |

We havent had a marathon snow week like this one since the winter of 95-96. I was responsible for the Natick Mall then, and I dont think I ever left that year. This year, between the Natick DPW, Framingham Ford, and a few other lots, it was like a bad Dejavu. I took 3600 yards out of Framingham Ford alone. The Natick DPW drove a D-7 Bulldozer thru the center of town friday night. Even still, after all that you can still ask me what my favorite time of year is, and its stioll winter.
