I don't know of any in Boston itself.  However, if you don't mind traveling out to Woburn, MA there's Four Seasons.  IMHO the best gun shop in eastern Masachusetts.  They have a website here:  www.fsguns.com  You should be able to get the address from that site.  Pretty decent selection on-hand.  The owner and the employees all have great attitudes and are always glad to answer any questions you may have.

i second the Four seasons, great attiudes, doesnt feel lie your walking into someones clubhouse with an 'I Hate Guns' hat on.  Village Gun in Northboro is prety good too.
I also heard a rumor of a new shop in Burlington somewhere....

There is an old gun shop in Cambridge called Roach's Sporting Goods right on Mass Ave. They have lots of guns and also sporting goods and camping gear. Nice place, but not a discount house by any means. A little farther out to the west is McIlhenny's in Waltham.

If you can get out and about, Four Seasons in Woburn (north of town) is my favorite.

I called FS a couple of times and wasn't impressed with them. The person on the phone didn't seem to want to bother to order me a new leupold scope/rings/mount. I've also found the prices to be on the high side. Example: SKS's are $199 on the website. 20 mins north they are $169 with no sales tax at Seacost Firearms.

They do seem like to really care about gun owners in MA, and have a huge following. I'm going to give them a chance when I'm in the market for a 700 LTR..

$169? that sounds really good. Where is Seacoast, I'd like to check them out. What do they get for AK's?

I can't speak to prices in other states, but compared to other MA stores, FS seems to be about the best. They are often extremely busy in the shop, so it is hard for them to take a lot of time on the phone, and I have noticed that they don't really seem to like ordering stuff for people. If you really want to roder something, make sure you talk to Carl, the owner.
