Just because I know the answer.
Is there such a thing as a .22lr pistol or rifle for under $100, like maybe $50? |
|
At that price ($50) it would have to be hot or in such bad condition you probably couldn't use it. The cheapest thing in 22 I've seen in years, last Sunday's Academy advertising insert, youth single shot 22 rifle for $99.99, those little tiny ones made for kids, not even teenagers, too small for them. Although its almost a pistol for an adult. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/crickett-youth-22-lr-single-shot-bolt-action-rifle/pid-697525?color=Beige+Or+Khaki&N=39632024 |

Do you just not have a .22 gun to shoot the ammo or is there something wrong with the ammo that makes you not want to shoot it in a good gun? You can always give it to me and I'll shoot it for you and that's a deal you just can't beat. I have never owned a .22 though I have wanted one. As far as i know, this ammo is just fine just pretty old. I was going through it the other day and I think I found a few .22 shorts mixed in with the LRs |

You need to scratch one up! You can find some decent deals at pawnshops but I would stick to Sooner State, many other shops are pretty sketchy. You can probably find a used Marlin for a $100 or so. Or you can save up and buy a kick butt gun like a M&P15-22 or HK MP5 22 (I have both and they are awesome, the HK is so real it gathers a crowd and it's Lothar Walther barrel makes it the most accurate ,22 I own, which is wild considering it's an MP5 style. You'll have to find something older if you want to shoot up that .22 short though, there may be a few newer ones that will shoot them but not many. I have a couple Remington 514's made in the '40's that shoot LR/L/S but I don't know of any others, maybe the Henry rifles. |
| If I were you, I'd go to Sooner State and talk to them about putting one in "layaway". I'm not sure if that's something they do but maybe they do. That way you can pick a good rifle or handgun and make a small payment each month and get what you want. I know Walmart does layaway, not sure they do it on guns but I don't know any reason why they wouldn't. If you get a good gun you'll be hooked! |

Its downright unAmerican not to have a 22!
I stopped by Sooner State this afternoon and picked up a Spike's Punisher stripped lower. I didn't ask about them, but they appeared to have several used 22 rifles in their racks. Mind If I ask how much those are going for there now? |

pretty sure last time I seen an academy flier they were advertizing 22lr "crickets" and iirc rossi single shot breakovers for around $100.
hell hit garage sales, swap meets or gunshows you might come across one from an individual seller, hell a co-worker might be short on rent for the month and sell you one cheap, you never know, sometimes its like looking for a decent used car, cash price |
