Will this knife be considered legal to carry in OKC?  The blade is about 3.25 inch.  It’s spring assist opening.  I carry clipped to my pocket.

Technically yes but the law is so vague they could cite you, confiscate the knife and you would spend countless dollars and hours trying to get two people to agree what the legal definition actually means.  In other words  nobody really knows and that's the way the state prefers it.

It shall be unlawful for any person to carry upon or about his or her person, or in a purse or other container belonging to the person, any pistol, revolver, shotgun or rifle whether loaded or unloaded or any dagger, bowie knife, dirk knife, switchblade knife, spring-type knife, sword cane, knife having a blade which opens automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring, or other device in the handle of the knife, blackjack, loaded cane, billy, hand chain, metal knuckles, or any other offensive weapon, whether such weapon be concealed or unconcealed

A spring-assisted knife can probably be classified as a spring-type knife and therefore you can't carry it in the state of Oklahoma (Note: "spring-type knife" is deleted from the law as of 11/1/13).  It also opens automatically by hand pressure to a device in the handle of the knife and is therefore prohibited from carry under that category too.

There is no pre-emption for knives in OK so local ordinances can ban knives.

For example, in OKC it is illegal to sell pocket knives that have blades longer than 4"
§ 30-307. Sale of switchblade knife or knife with long blade.

No person shall offer for sale or exhibit for sale any knife commonly called a switchblade knife or spring-blade knife or any other pocket knife having a blade longer than four inches.

OKC also prohibits carry of certain knifes:

§ 30-302. Carrying weapons generally; exceptions.permanent link to this piece of content

It shall be unlawful for any person to carry upon or about his person, or in his portfolio or purse, any stun gun, dagger, Bowie knife, dirk knife, switchblade knife, spring-type knife, sword cane, knife having a blade which opens automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring, or other device in the handle of the knife, blackjack, loaded cane, billy, hand chain, metal knuckles, or any other offensive weapon, except as in this article provided. Provided further, that this section shall not prohibit the proper use of guns and knives for hunting, fishing or recreational purposes, nor shall this section be construed to prohibit any use of weapons in a manner otherwise permitted by municipal ordinance or by State law.

To be exact my knife is a assisted-opening.  It’s a speedsafe made by Kershaw, which mean it have to be open manually using a thumb stud.  I asked because recently I got into a situation where I almost have to used it for self-defense.

Its a rats nest of laws that are confusing to anyone, including us.  I carry a Kershaw and an SOG which are the same type as yours on a daily basis.  Any advice is worth what you paid for it, nothing in this case....
