Got this in an email this morning:
CALLS NEEDED IMMEDIATELY We alerted you over the weekend about the open carry bills being held up. Actually, all the Second Amendment bills are being held up. The deadline for these bills to be heard is Thursday April 26, so we need to melt down the phone lines. Please take time to make a few calls or emails today. Keep calling them until these bills are heard. Call the Speaker, Rep. Steele, and the Floor Leader, Rep. DeWitt, and politely demand that they allow the following bills to be heard on the House Floor: SB1733 - open carry SB1548 - removes limit on concealed carry class fees SB1785 - recognizes driver's licenses from non-permiting states as a permit, allowing them reciprocity in Oklahoma Speaker Steele's contact information is (405) 557-7345 or [email protected]. Rep. DeWitt contact information is (405) 557-7332 or [email protected]. Call the Preisdent Pro Tem, Sen. Bingman, and the Floor Leader, Sen. Schulz, and politely demand that they allow HB2522 to be heard on the Senate Floor. Senator Bingman's contact information is (405) 521-5528 or [email protected] and Senator Schulz's contact information is (405) 521-5612 or [email protected]. It is imperative that we make our wishes known. It is unacceptable to allow Second Amendment legislation to stall out. These bills need be heard. |

Don't forget the suppressor and PTSD veteran's SDA bills. Speaking of the suppressor bill, what is the current status? There are two amendments filed for it. One removes the fees for license reinstatement. The other one will require the hunter to notify the game warden before going into the field and using a suppressor to hunt. Talk about a load of horses_ _ _ on the second amendment!! Did Osborne and you ever work on getting the language clarified on the penalties to make sure over-eager wardens don't throw the book at people because they don't like the new regulation? |
