Paperwork finally came in.....
300 AAC Blackout SBR 8" Noveske barrel...... Dude! Sweet setup. I'm looking at doing something similar with an 11" upper, but using a 9mm Titanium suppressor (for subsonic only.) It should be very light and manuverable and still be pretty damm quiet. USSA-1 |

I'm not sure of what type suppressor Scottstre had on an SBR he had at the range one day, but it was so quiet it was scary.
It was either a 6.8 or 6.5, accurate as all get out to boot. The only thing you could hear was the bolt opening and closing with the recoil spring cycling.
My boy Tony was out there with me and Scottstre let him shoot it. He had been in Iraq on two tours until he was wounded. He has seen quite a few different types of ordnance and is not easily impressed. He still talks about how quiet that rifle, suppressor, and loads were. It really impressed him. And how Scottstre was such a good guy to offer him the opportunity to shoot it. If the rifle is that quiet with just the sound of the gun cycling and the bullet hitting, they really are one hell of a wonder. Knowing PC, it's gotta to be one hell of a rig!!!!! |

Was he shooting Subsonic Load or reloads , that make a world of difference in the sound. |

He's pretty sharp on his firearms and only rolls first class on anything he does. |

I like it, How much is the ammo runnin? It's about $20 a box for the subsonic Remington. I haven't found the Hornady 300 whisper ammo yet (which will work in the 300 Blackout barrels) or the Remington supersonic stuff. Quoted:
Looks great. What rear sight are you using? Both the front and rear sights are Troy fixed. |

My question is, how is your grass that green? He lives in Edmund. The grass is always greener on the north side. And the water bill is three times as high.
Hell, I turned the sprinkler system off a month or so ago. It wasn't doing any good. It's green now because we have had around 4 inches of rain in the last two weeks. It seems God likes Edmond better too! |
