I've thought about doing that. It's a whole lot better than leading up a 5.56 barrel with the 22 conversion.
Did you get several mags with it?

Mags don't come with it, but I ordered 3 Black Dog 25 round mags.  I got it from Midway, they don't discount the upper, but with a C&R got a good price on the mags.

Let us know how those mags work out.
I've used large cap mags on a 10-22 and they never worked well.
I've been told those Black Dog mags and a good 22 upper are a really reliable match.
I think it was OKguy91 that had a great deal of luck with them.
Let us know how it shoots!

Anyone try the Black Dog mags with a Ceiner kit?

They are supposed to work with the Ceiner kit, from what I can see, the CMMG is based on the Ceiner kit, sure looks like it anyway.

The CMMG 22LR upper, and Black Dog mags are the best.  We have sold a lot of them and eveyone loves them.

I had one that was a dedicated upper for a pistol and it worked great with those mags.
